Dermologica travel size quad first impression

So I recently purchased my first Dermologica products from Ulta during a killer online only promotion. It came with four travel size of their best selling items, and I am obsessed with the moisturizer that was included. Overall I’m not disappointed with anything; the dry based exfoliator, moisturizer, eye crème, and face cleanser all are great quality, and no strange odors that sometimes comes with certain face products. I don’t dislike any of the products that came in this quad, that being said though, I do have some favorites that will have a home in my daily routine.
The dry based exfoliator it comes with has to be my least favorite product in the set, not because its a poor exfoliator, but because I just feel like it doesn’t have the roughness I’m used to with my all time favorite scrub Lush’s Ocean Salt. I could see this being ideal for someone with very sensitive skin, or someone looking for something gentle enough for every day use. I could also see this being great for mature skin, or as a introduction to exfoliating. I found this a tad bit difficult to use however, due to the face that you need to add water and make a paste after sprinkling it onto your fingertips or into the palm of your hand. I tend to prefer to use a scrub in the shower, so I’m disappointed I cant use this in the shower, in fear that water would get in the dispensing hole and wet the entire product, thus, causing it to be ruined. I know some people might love the fact that you have to add water, but not me. [2/5]
The moisturizer is absolutely fantastic, there’s a slight menthol/cooling feeling, but its not off putting what so ever (for me anyways!) Moisturizers for me are a difficult game, either they cause my cystic acne to act up, or they just exacerbate the excess oil production I already have. Dermologica’s moisturizer earned a spot on my products that I absolutely cannot live without. I think this has the right amount of moisture for skin that’s in the normal to combination range, and probably not enough for dry skin. I LOVE using this stuff after cleansing with my Clarisonic, it adds just the right amount of hydration, and doesn’t leave me looking like I’m a sweaty mess!      Speaking of the Clarisonic, the cleanser in this pack is definitely competing with my usual Lush 9 to 5 oil based cleanser for daily use. I find this face wash to be extremely gentle on the skin, and doesn’t leave you with that “squeaky clean” feeling that I dread. The smell is almost non existent, and leaves my skin so soft. It’s slightly foaming (when used with the Clarisonic, I haven’t used it with bare hands yet) but nothing crazy. I use this at a minimum of twice daily, and it doesn’t dry out my skin at all. It leaves an overall really refreshing feeling after use, and I’ve accidently skipped moisturizing after this product, and my skin didn’t get angry, which is a huge plus! [5/5]
The last product in this package was the red seaweed eye crème, which for me has a strange scent to it, but isn’t so bad that I refuse to use it. I don’t have wrinkles around the eye area yet, but I’m one of those people who believes in preventing aging before it actually happens. In my opinion this crème is too slick for daytime use, and definitely not to be used under makeup. I enjoy using it at night, and I usually use it every other night. Maybe if I had more mature skin, this product might produce more predominant effects  [4/5]
